Capturing life in motion since 2009

Adventure. Emotion. Connection.

"When I’m not shooting, you’ll find me on the trails with my kids, coaching youth mountain biking, or scouting new drone locations. Adventure is a big part of our family life."

About Christopher Pitts

Madison based + willingness to travel

My creative journey began in the darkroom at the University of Minnesota, where I studied Graphic Design and Photography and discovered my passion for photography. Around the same time, I joined the University of Minnesota Cycling Team, often bringing my camera along to capture team events and spring break trips to Moab, Utah. Those experiences sparked a lifelong connection between mountain biking and photography. Two worlds that continue to inspire everything I create.

After college, my first job was at Ad-Lit, Inc. (now Vector & Ink) in Wisconsin Dells, where I photographed waterparks, restaurants, attractions, and local businesses. Learning how to tell stories through images that invite people in. From there, I joined Kalahari Resorts as Art Director, helping to define and grow the brand visually across all properties, including Trappers Turn Golf Club and the Crystal Grand Music Theatre. Long before drones, I was capturing aerial shots from helicopters and planes to showcase the scale and excitement of these destinations. I spent 17 years there, shaping the visual identity of the brand through design and photography.

In 2009, I launched my own photography business, expanding my work to include weddings, families, and senior portraits. Capturing genuine emotion and connection alongside my passion for action and outdoor storytelling.

As life evolved, so did my focus. While raising my kids, I began coaching youth mountain biking, which opened a new chapter… combining family, sport, and storytelling. That led to my current role as Media Coordinator and Drone Operator for the Wisconsin Interscholastic Cycling League, where I capture the spirit and energy of youth mountain biking across Wisconsin.

Today, I specialize in action sports, nature, and team photography, creating dynamic visuals that celebrate movement, community, and adventure. Whether it’s flying drones over race courses, shooting team portraits, or exploring new trails with my kids, my goal remains the same: to capture authentic stories that move people.

My Approach

I believe the best photos come from real connection, between people, places, and experiences. Whether it’s a race finish, a wedding vow, or a quiet moment on the trail, my goal is to capture the emotion, energy, and authenticity behind each story.

Every shoot is an adventure, whether it’s in the air, on the trail, or with families creating new memories together.
